“MiC has been increasingly adopted in high-rise building projects in HK. A small accident during heavy lifting for module installation can be a disaster. However, the safety risks of heavy lifting are not systematically understood, and the corresponding fragmentally proposed mitigation measures cannot ensure zero-accident heavy lifting in high-rise modular construction. This guidebook enhances lifting safety in high-rise MiC building projects by systematically identifying safety risks, examining contributing factors, proposing mitigation measures, and introducing various smart crane lifting technologies.”
