Overview
Modular Integrated Construction (MiC) - as an innovative approach to transforming the construction industry - has gained popular recognition in Hong Kong’s construction and development sectors in the past few years. Since 2017, the HKSAR Government, with research and development support from the MiCLab of HKU, has been actively promoting and leading the adoption of MiC in the construction industry. Up to now, there are over 100 MiC projects has been completed or under construction/tendering in Hong Kong. Noteworthy, the modular approach has not only been adopted in Hong Kong but also been promoted in the Greater Bay Area and internationally. This International Conference will be a timely occasion for local and international stakeholders to update on the latest developments in MiC; to share new findings from research; and to exchange ideas and experiences on practices and solutions. The event will feature renowned speakers and leaders from government, industry and academia to share state-of-the-art research, practice and policy for modular construction and enable exchange of innovative ideas and practices.
